BHEL Bags Order Worth Rs.4000 Cr From Adani Power Subsidiary, Mahan Energen
In a significant development, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has recently clinched a substantial order valued at Rs. 4000 crore from Mahan Energen Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Power Limited. This latest achievement was unveiled through an official exchange filing by the company.
The scope of this noteworthy order encompasses the supply of essential equipment, including cutting-edge Boiler, Turbine, and Generator components. Additionally, BHEL will provide diligent supervision for the Erection and Commissioning phases of a 2×800 MW power project. This power venture is set to utilize advanced supercritical technology and will be established at the Bandhaura location in Madhya Pradesh.
The manufacturing of the crucial Boiler and Turbine Generator components will take place at BHEL’s esteemed Trichy and Haridwar plants, respectively. The timeline for the supply of these equipment units is slated to conclude within a span of 31 months. Meanwhile, the comprehensive power project itself is projected to reach completion within a span of 35 months, promising to contribute significantly to the energy landscape.
This recent accomplishment adds to BHEL’s track record of success, highlighted by their previous achievement in July – the successful synchronization of the 660 MW Unit-2 at the illustrious 1,320 MW Maitree Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) situated in Bangladesh.
