Vinod R Tanti has been approved by Suzlon Energy’s shareholders to serve as Managing Director, with Girish R Tanti being appointed as Executive Director and Pranav T Tanti as Director.
“According to a BSE filing, the appointment of Vinod Tanti as Managing Director, Girish Tanti as Executive Director, and Pranav Tanti as Director have been approved by the necessary majority of shareholders through a postal ballot.
The company requested approval for these appointments through a postal ballot notice. These appointments seem to be part of a succession plan following the death of the company’s founder and former Chairman and Managing Director, Tulsi Tanti, on October 1, 2022.
At the twenty-seventh annual general meeting held on September 29, 2022, the shareholders approved the appointment of Vinod Tanti as a Wholetime Director & Chief Operating Officer of the Company from October 1, 2022, for a three-year term ending on September 30, 2025.
However, the notice stated that due to the sudden death of Tulsi R Tanti, the former Chairman and Managing Director, Vinod Tanti was appointed as Managing Director starting on October 7, 2022, for a three-year period ending on October 6, 2025, pending shareholder approval.
As a result, the appointment was submitted for shareholder approval,” the notice stated.
