Adani Power Launches Jharkhand Thermal Plant, Witnessing Surge in Shares

Adani Power Limited, a leading energy company, announced the successful commencement of commercial operations at its state-of-the-art power plant situated in Godda District, Jharkhand. This significant milestone was confirmed through a stock exchange filing made by the company. As a result, Adani Power’s share witnessed a 2.89% surge, reaching ₹249.40 per share on the BSE at 1:48 pm.

The specific achievement involved the initiation of Unit 2 within the 2×800 MW Ultra-supercritical power project, developed by Adani Power (Jharkhand) Limited (APJL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Power Limited. Following meticulous completion of Reliability Run Tests, the commercial operations of the 800 MW capacity unit were officially established at 24:00 hrs Bangladesh Standard Time on June 25, 2023 (23:30 hrs India Standard Time on June 25, 2023), as per the contractual obligations mentioned in the company’s filing.
