Airtel Launches 5G Plus in 4 Cities of Kerala

India’s leading telecom services provider, Bharti Airtel (Airtel), has expanded its 5G services to Kozhikode, Trivandrum, and Thrissur in addition to its existing 5G network in Kochi.

The company will continue to expand its 5G Plus network and make it available to customers with 5G-enabled devices.

Customers in these four cities can now enjoy ultra-fast speeds of up to 20-30 times faster than 4G speeds at no extra cost until the rollout is more widespread. Airtel 5G Plus will enhance the company’s existing portfolio of services and provide superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, and instant photo uploading.

Amit Gupta, COO of Bharti Airtel in Kerala, commented on the launch, saying, “I am thrilled to bring Airtel 5G Plus to these four cities and allow our customers to experience ultrafast network speeds. With this launch, India will receive a boost to its economic growth as Airtel 5G Plus revolutionizes various industries such as education, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, mobility, and logistics.”

Airtel has been at the forefront of 5G innovation in India, with a range of powerful use cases in the past year, including India’s first live 5G network in Hyderabad and its first private 5G network at a BOSCH facility in Bengaluru. In partnership with Mahindra & Mahindra, Airtel has also made the Chakan manufacturing facility India’s first 5G-enabled auto manufacturing unit.
