In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) reported that its shareholding in Coforge Ltd has risen from 30,38,803 to 30,73,908 equity shares, resulting in an increment of its shareholding from 4.976% to 5.033% of the company’s paid-up capital.
According to the filing, Coforge Ltd’s market capitalization is Rs 23,917.14 crores. The shares were acquired through open market purchases at or near the market price. The filing also indicated that LIC’s holding in the company exceeded five percent on January 16th and the shares were purchased at an average cost of Rs 3,901.28.
In addition, the filing noted that Coforge is an IT services firm that offers comprehensive software solutions and services.
