Founded in 2018, Magson Retail & Distribution Limited is a company involved in the retail and distribution of gourmet, frozen food, and specialty foods.
Magson Retail & Distribution offers a diverse range of products including:
- Frozen food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
- Premium cheese and dairy products.
- Exotic vegetables and fruits.
- Ambient products.
- Imported/luxury chocolates.
- Imported packed products.
The company operates a total of 26 retail stores/outlets, with 16 being company-operated, 7 operated by franchise owners, and 3 stores operated through 2 joint ventures. All of these stores operate under the registered brand name “MagSon.”
These outlets are strategically located across Western India, with one each in Thane, Udaipur, Gandhinagar, Anand, Rajkot, Jamnagar, and Gandhidham. Additionally, there are three stores each in Surat and Vadodara, and thirteen stores/outlets in Ahmedabad (including one chocolate store). The combined retail space of these 26 outlets/stores exceeds 30,000 sq. ft., with a total stock count of over 3000 units (SKUs).
To manage its inventory, the company has leased a warehouse spanning over 14,000 sq. ft. in Ahmedabad. Magson procures 75% of its products directly from manufacturers, cutting out middlemen and allowing for higher profit margins. The remaining 25% is supplied by other distributors/wholesalers.
In December 2021, Magson introduced its own brand called Rf Gourmet. This brand offers premium products such as French Fries, Fiery Fries, Chilli Garlic Potato Shots, Delhi Aloo Tikki, Veggie Burger Tikki, Chunky Fries, Eggs, and a range of Chicken Seekh Kababs.
