NBCC Secures Order From Kerala State Housing Board
National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC), a leading name in the construction industry, has recently bagged a substantial order valued at Rs 2,000 crore from the Kerala State Housing Board (KSBH). This noteworthy development was officially announced on Tuesday, September 5.
The undertaking encompasses the transformation of a 17.9-acre land parcel owned by the Kerala State Housing Board, situated at the picturesque Marine Drive location in Kochi, Kerala.
In a regulatory filing made to various stock exchanges, NBCC stated, “NBCC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kerala State Housing Board for the comprehensive development of the 17.9-acre land parcel situated at Marine Drive, Kochi, Kerala.”
The precise timeline for the completion of this substantial project is yet to be determined.
Just a day prior to this announcement, on September 4, 2023, NBCC clinched another contract worth Rs 20 crore from the Government of India for a vital project at Mint, Mumbai.
This project is multifaceted, encompassing activities such as meticulous planning, innovative designing, and the flawless execution of both structural and non-structural repairs at the Mint factory premises in Mumbai. Additionally, it also includes extensive renovation work and the construction of a transit camp at the Mint colony in Parel, Mumbai.
It is worth noting that this contract falls under the purview of Regulation 30 of SEBI and has been awarded domestically. It is classified as a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract, which is structured on a deposit work basis.
