RailTel Bags Order Worth Rs 78.58 Crore From Indian Railways
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone by clinching a major contract from the Centre For Railway Information Systems (CRIS). The contract, valued at INR 78,58,69,348.14 (inclusive of taxes), entails the procurement of cloud infrastructure for the Next Generation Passenger Reservation System (PRS) of Indian Railways.
Under this agreement, RailTel will handle the supply, installation, integration, configuration, and commissioning of cutting-edge hardware, software, and networking and security equipment. This will be carried out at the primary datacentre, located at Railway Internet Datacentre (RIDC) in CRIS, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, as well as at the DR Data centre situated in Secunderabad.
The scope of the project also encompasses providing warranty support, including ATS (Annual Technical Support), for a period of three years from the date of equipment commissioning. The entire project execution is scheduled to be completed within 52 weeks from the date of the Purchase Order.
The warranty support for the hardware, software, network, and security equipment, as per the Schedule of Requirement, will be valid for three years from the date of equipment commissioning.
