The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has awarded a project worth ₹ 166 crore to Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), a state-owned company, on Thursday.
The project is expected to be completed within 22 months.
“The joint venture between Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) and ISC Projects Private Limited, referred to as ‘RVNL-ISC Projects Private Limited JV’, has received a Letter of Acceptance for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a ballastless track for the Sarthana to Dream City section of the Surat Metro Rail Project’s Phase 1, Corridor 1. This work includes both elevated and underground sections, as well as connecting lines to the depot, and will involve the use of standard gauge track that may be either ballasted, ballastless, or embedded. This information was disclosed in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange by RVNL, a state-owned company.”
RVNL is a public sector undertaking that was created for the purpose of developing, financing, and implementing projects related to rail infrastructure.
