On Friday, Singapore Airlines clarified that it has not increased its ownership share in Air India beyond the previously announced 25.1%. This stake was acquired as part of the Vistara merger with the Tata Group, with the aim of establishing a larger full-service national carrier in India.
The statement from Singapore’s state carrier was issued in response to a media report claiming that its stake in the Indian airline had risen to approximately 40%.
