Adani Power, a leading energy company, announced on June 27 achieves full-scale operations for the second unit of its ultra-supercritical thermal power plant (USCTPP) in Godda district, Jharkhand. This milestone achievement marks the completion of the Godda USCTPP, boasting a total capacity of 1,600 MW across two 800 MW units. As per contractual agreements, the electricity generated from the plant is being supplied to Bangladesh.

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has successfully won a significant order worth Rs 294.37 crore (including taxes) from the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC).

Wipro, the renowned IT company, has announced an extension of the closing date for its ₹12,000 crore buyback offer due to a shift in the public holiday schedule for Bakra Eid. The buyback, which opened on June 22, will now conclude on June 30 instead of the previously planned date of June 29.

IDFC First Bank

IDFC First Bank, one of India’s prominent private lenders, recently announced its successful raising of ₹1,500 crore through tier-2 bonds in the Indian bond market. The bank revealed this development to the Indian stock market exchanges, highlighting that the privately placed bonds are unsecured, subordinated, and listed on the NSE E-bidding platform. These bonds, issued as fully paid-up, taxable, non-convertible debentures, comply with Basel III regulations and hold a face value of ₹1 crore each.

Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), the promoter, has purchased 1.49 crore equity shares or 0.69% of the life insurance company through open market transactions. The shares were acquired at an average price of Rs 667.1 per share, resulting in a total transaction value of Rs 992.64 crore.

Titagarh Rail systems

Titagarh Railsystems Ltd announced on Tuesday that it has been granted a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) by the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited. The LOA is for the purpose of designing and producing 72 standard gauge cars for the Surat Metro Rail project. The total value of the order amounts to approximately ₹857 crore. According to the company’s statement to the stock exchanges, the contract execution will commence 76 weeks after the contract signing and is expected to be finished within 132 weeks thereafter.
